Pt. 3: Growing veggies 🥕
Hello and welcome back to another episode of Tiny Joys with Domi! 💛
I’ve been talking about the community garden and my own veggie patch at the property where I live quite often now, and I wanted to share the joy that comes with it.

Small disclaimer: I will post another one of these within the next months because it takes a little while for the seedlings to actually grow up and turn into something eatable. I was really excited to show you the beginning of the process, but I know it’s waaay more interesting to see the end result too sometime.
I just really want to show you how much fun it is to try things out, see how they develop, and maybe even start over if something didn’t work.
If there’s one thing I’ve learned over the past few weeks, is that the process of getting things done is so under appreciated. And has been by me for the biggest part of my life too. I will zoom into this a little more in one of my next blog posts.
What I’m trying to say is: planting a seed, nurturing it with water, sun light, and love, seeing it develop into a little seedling trying to grow its way closer to the sun is such a rewarding feeling.
The whole process of seeing something grow because of the love and attention you gave it, is wonderful.
And yes, I do realise this is nothing new, especially for the mums amongst you.
But for me, this is the first time I ever experienced something that I enjoyed from beginning to end. And even made me a little sad after the harvest was over and excited at the same time for the new seeds to go in.
Anyways.
I’m rambling now.
The point is, I love gardening and learning more and more about the process of growing veggies, fruit, and herbs.
And the beautiful thing is, it’s a gift that keeps on giving. I will never run out of things to learn and for the first thing in my life that doesn’t scare me. It excites me.
So, no tips on how to grow veggies from my side yet, because I’m still pretty much figuring things out for myself.
But I will say this: just start. Just start with a few pots and a few seeds and see for yourself how wonderfully rewarding it can be to see things grow.
That’s what I tried to capture in this month’s video.
Enjoy! ☀️
